Lybbyna Bardeen was son of Moses and Catherine (Cook) Bardeen. Date of birth about 1800 is based on 1850 and 1860 Federal Censuses. He married Sophia Brooks on Jan. 16, 1827 at the Exeter Congregational Church in Exeter, Otsego, New York. In 1870 'S/Labina' Bardeen is living with his son, Thomas B. Bardeen, in Hornellsville, Steuben, New York. He's not found in the 1875 NY State Census.
Next to wife's stone in the Hartsville Hill Cemetery is a stone transcribed in 1976 with the name "Phoebe" Bardeen. I've searched far and wide and haven't encountered that name in this family. I now believe this could be Lybbyna's grave stone which could have been difficult to transcribe 100+ years after it was etched.
