The Cumberland Times, 22 Dec 2000 "KALAMAZOO, Mich. On Dec. 21, 2000, Katharine Teresa Barry Clark expired at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, after a lengthy illness. She was born on Aug. 24, 1927, in Frostburg, Md., the third child of John Earl and Agnes Matilda Murray Barry. She graduated from Beall High School and Alleghany (now Sacred Heart) Hospital School of Nursing. In 1947 she married Joseph Leo Clark of Lonaconing. Her nursing career began at the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va., and involved tenures at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, Collins Memorial Hospital, Knoxville, IA, Sacred Heart Hospital, Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, from which she retired, and Olsten Home Health Care in Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Catherine Fleurette Brandenburg. She is survived by her sister, Mary Matilda Morris of Ganado, Texas; and her brother, John Gerald Barry of Littleton, Colo. She is also survived by her children, Joseph G. Clark, John L. Clark, Ann D. Sperrow, Barry S. Clark, her longtime caregiver; and her grandchildren, Devon K. Clark and Jemma S. Sperrow, all of Kalamazoo. At her request, her body will be cremated and her remains interred at a later date in St. Michael's Cemetery, Frostburg. A memorial service will be held at that time. Those wishing to remember her with gifts may make donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society."
