Jeptha Henderson Mallicoat

Jeptha Henderson (Jep) Mallicoat, age 88, a retired farmer of Bean Station died Thursday afternoon at his home. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and Tate Springs Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Annie Edwards Mallicoat; son, James W. Mallicoat, Bean Station; seven daughters, Mrs. Eva Olofsson, Bean Station, Mrs. J. E. Guywnn, New Orleans, La., Mrs. Ida McDowell, McHenry,Ill., Mrs. Kathryn McDaniel, Miami, Fla., Mrs. Jean Dalton, Bean Station, Mrs. B. W. Holt, Morristown, Mrs, James N, Dalton, Bean Station; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Joel Mallicoat, James and Gideon Mallicoat; sister, Mrs. Gertrude Bear, all of Indiana.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers; granddaughters, flower girls. Graveside services will be in charge of Tate Springs Masonic Lodge.

Services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday from the Bean Station Baptist Church. Rev. Mitch DeBord will officiate. Interment in Dalton Cemetery, Bean Station. The body will lie in state at the church for a half hour before the service.

The family will receive friends at Brooks Mortuary Saturday evening."
