John O. Blanchard of Unionville died at 4 AM today at the age of 79 years. Mr. Blanchard had been a resident of Unionville for 20 years and had been retired during that time. Mr. Blanchard was born October 4, 1850 in Monson, MA. He had spent a number of years in Harpersfield, however, before moving to Unionville. He operated a farm during his residence there. His widow, Mrs. Alice Armstrong Blanchard survives, with two sons and a daughter, Claude Blanchard of Painesville; Ernest Blanchard of Unionville and Mrs. Abbie Hutchins of Harpersfield. Three grandchildren also survive. Mr. Blanchard was an uncle of Mrs. Bessie Woodworth of Geneva; Mrs. W.R. Starkweather of Ashtabula and Mrs. Inez Brayton of Madison, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held at Landon's Chapel at 2 PM Monday Dated June 6, 1930.
