Funeral services were held at Calvary Reformed Church in Orange City December 22 for the Rev. John G. Vande Lune, 86, retired minister and a resident of Pioneer Memorial Home in Orange City, who died at the home December 19.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Edward Blankespoor and burial was in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.

The Rev. Vande Lune had served pastorates in Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota and Iowa prior to his retirement in 1953.

He was born January 9, 1887, at Pella and married Dena Broekstra June 22, 1913, at Grand Rapids, Michigan. She died February 9, 1968, at Orange City, where the couple moved upon his retirement. He had been a resident of the Pioneer Home for five years.

Survivors include two sons, Sidney G. of Denver, and Col. G.R.Vande Lune of Westlake village, California; three daughters, Mrs. Forrest (Evelyn) Roberts of Holland, Michigan, Mrs. Menno (Dorothea) Vander Kooi of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Mrs. Herman (Ruth) Mast of Denver; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
