Born in New Albany, Miss., he was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by two sons.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Alexander of Joiner; a daughter, Minnie Walker of Joiner; three sons, William Alexander of Joiner, Bobby Alexander of Wren, Miss., and Clyde "Buggsy" Alexander of Memphis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 this afternoon at the Roller-Swift Funeral Home chapel in Osceola, with Rev. Carey Deaton officiating. Burial will follow at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Bassett.
