Athens - Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Carroll and Lehr Memory Chapel for James Hamilton Lofton, 81, who died at Payne Springs
Tuesday after a long illness. Rev. E. J. Davis conducted the services and burial was in Trinidad City Cemetery. Mr. Lofton, who was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, was a retired farmer. He had lived at Payne Springs about one year.
Survivors include two sons, A. G. Lofton of Corpus Christi and J. A. Lofton of Willow Creek, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Edmonds of Ivanhoe, Calif., and Mrs. Cola Metcalf and Mrs. R. B.Howell, both of Willow Creek; 10 grandchildren grandchildren. and five great- grandchildren
