Mrs. Lena Anderson, born Sept. 15, 1886, near Petersburg, passed away at her home Aug. 28, 1957, aged 70 years, 7 months, 28 days.
Married Sept. 27, 1905 to Oscar F Anderson of Elgin, in Petersburg. Three children born, they lived on a farm west of Elgin for about 30 years, then moved into Elgin.
50th wedding anniversary celebrated September 1955 at their home. A member of the Presbyterian church.
Survived by her husband of home, two sons, Clarence M of Santa Rosa, CA., and Harold W of Elgin and daughter, Eva (Mrs. Don Rummell) of Santa Rosa, CA., 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Warnke of Detroit Lakes, MN and Emil Warnke of Gordon, NE. and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Cavanaugh of St. Edward, NE. and Mrs. Flora Meyers of Twin Falls, ID.
Funeral services were Aug. 31, 1957, interment in West Cedar Valley Cemetery. Friends and relatives from out-of-town who attended were from Santa Rosa, Ca., St. Edward, Omaha, Lincoln and Albion.

Times sweetest roses decay.
Word of farewell must be spoken,
Evening will follow the day.
Still waves of joy roll around us and
Swelling this earth’s boundless sea.
Let us lean harder dear Savior,
Let us lean harder on Thee.”
