Della D. Davis, was born in Oakville, Live Oak Co., Texas, June 26, 1879. She was the 6th child and 2nd daughter, among 11 siblings.
Della was a resourceful wife and mother, accomplished in needlework, gardening, storytelling and writing poetry. Many of her poems were published in the Marlow review, and cuttings of her pink roses were lovingly shared with family and neighbors. Della's favorite candy was malted-milk balls, and she especially enjoyed them with a cup of coffee!


Della's husband, William Garrett Booth, bred and raised horses, and cattle, and ran a livery service in Marlow,OK. with Doug Douglas.
