MRS. EMMA K. BOGGS

Services for Mrs. Emma K. Boggs, 86, of 1422 College St. will be 10:30 a. m. tomorrow at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Harvey Nelson officiating.
Committal service will be 3 p. m. tomorrow at the Conesville, Iowa, cemetery.
Mrs. Boggs died Friday morning at Sartori Hospital of a coronary.
Memorial has been established for the First United Methodist Church.
She was born Feb. 12, 1883 in Nichols, daughter of John and Augusta Zimmermann Hintz. She married John B. Boggs, Dec. 25, 1900 in Nichols. He died Aug. 31, 1923. The Boggs farmed near Hazelton until 1922 when they moved to Oelwein. Mrs. Boggs moved to Cedar Falls in 1945. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors.
Survivors include a son Glenn E. of Mason City; three daughters, Mrs. Dora Carlson of Hoquiam, Wash., Mrs. Nira Haire of 1503 W. 8th St., and Mrs. Donald (Lura) King of 1422 College St.; three sisters, Mrs. Al (Mollie) Bottomly and Miss Mattie Hintz of Nichols and Mrs. Leona Heath of West Liberty; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by parents, husband, a brother, two sisters, a son, a daughter and a great-grandson.
Nottger Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

John B. Boggs, . on December 25, 1900, was united in marriage to Miss EMMA HINTZ, of Nichols, a daughter of Louis and Augusta ( Miller ) Hintz, who were born in Germany.

Louis and Augusta came to America in 1872 and after living for two years in Muscatine removed to Nichols, where they have since resided.
To them ten children were born, one of whom died in infancy, the others being :
Amelia, now the wife of Albert Quimby, of Nichols ; Rosa, deceased ; John, of Nichols ; Emma, now Mrs. John B. Boggs ; Mary, Margaret and Leona, all of whom are at home ; and Frederick and Frank, both of whom are deceased.

Four children have blessed the union of Mr. and Mrs.John Boggs : Dora Augusta, born september 16, 1902 ; Nira Verlee, born April 27, 1904 ; John Thomas, born May 3, 1906 ; and Luna F., born May 6, 1910.

Mr. Boggs is now in charge of the old homestead and has shown an efficiency that is gratifying to his father. He and his wife are members of the German Reformed church, and are active supporters of all worthy causes.
