Margie Hart Crump, age 86, of Zacks Fork Road, Lenoir, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was born March 4, 1926 in Caldwell County to the late John Michael and Bessie Heffner Hart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Romalas Hamby and Sherman Edward Crump; two grandchildren; two brothers; and five sisters.
Mrs. Crump was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, William Douglas Hamby and wife Barbara, Jerry Lee Hamby and wife Judy, Michael H. Crump and wife Lynne, all of Lenoir and Rev. Terrill D. Crump and wife Kathy of Casar; three daughters, Mrs. Sherlene Watson and husband Rev. Ronnie Watson of Lenoir, Mrs. Jeanie Kincaid and husband Rev. Roy Dale Kincaid of Mexico and Mrs. Martha Taylor and husband Ronnie of Granite Falls; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Alan Carr. Interment will follow at Zacks Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mrs. Crump's grandsons.
