Daniel D. Edmonds, Passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Gary, Indiana. Daniel was a faithful Christian and he practiced Christ teachings and illustrated Gods' love in peace and harmony. His best practice was praying and having faith in God's word and that one day he would be made whole again. Daniel attended Froebel High school, and during the Vietnam conflict, he joined The Marine Corp and served as a communication specialist. He returned home with an illness that plagued him until his death. Daniel was a lifetime veteran and a honorary member of 'The Elizabethian Educational Center' named in memory of his mother. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris (Elizabeth) Edmonds Sr.; brothers, Rev. Perry Edmonds and Richard Edmonds. He leaves to cherish his memories, one brother, Dr. Morris Edmonds; three sisters, Elizabeth (Jean) Mathis, Linda Childs-Stallworth and Evangelist Patricia (Honeycake) Taylor-Stallworth. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2012, at 12:00 pm, with family hour from 6:00-8:00pm at Manuel Memorial Funeral Home on 421 West 5th Ave. in Gary,46402. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00am at 'Cathedral of Holy Angels' 640 Tyler Street in Gary, Indiana. Interment, Abraham V.A. National Cemetary in Joliet (Elwood) Illinois. Repast will be at the 'Cathedral of Holy Angels Parish. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Manuel Memorial Funeral Home.
