George Padgett (DEARING, Ga.)
DEARING, Ga. - Mr. George M. Padgett, Sr. of Old Augusta Rd. Dearing, Ga. entered into rest October 13, 2006 at University Hospital . Mr. Padgett was born in Harlem, Georgia and was the son of the late Lonnie B. Padgett and the late Emma Estelle Washington Padgett. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was retired as an Installer and Repairman from Bellsouth after 35 years of service. Mr. Padgett was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Meadows Padgett, Dearing, Ga.; daughter, Audrey Renee Padgett ( Lee), Thomson, Ga.; sons, George M. Padgett II, Boneville, Ga., Bernard B. Padgett ( Angie), Dearing, Ga., and Robert W. Padgett, Dearing, Ga.; sisters, Barbara Ann Cramer, Sacremento, California, Sarah Laverne Faircloth, Augusta, Ga.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2006 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Frank Thigpen and Roger Fulmer officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Hall, Kenneth Brackett, Dave Burnley, Rob Johnson, Nick Davis and Todd Burch. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road.
