She was a southern gal who married a yankee. She often said that she would never marry a soldier and would never marry a yankee. She did both. They were together for 47 years. She lived with her second husband for ten years. She retired from Atlanta Newspapers after 22 years.
She had lovely handwriting and enjoyed doing handwork. She was an active member of her church and Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She was also an excellent baker, making delicious pies, cakes,cookies and bread to feed her large family. She is greatly missed.
