Funeral Services will be held at THE BETHEL FUNERAL HOME, 215 Greenwood Ave., Wednesday at ll am. with the Rev Robert T. Johnson officiating. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, Long Island. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday (today) 2-4 and 7-9 p m.

Ethlyn Benkwitt Alheit

Ethlyn Benkwitt Alheit, a former Yonkers resident, died Sunday at her Bethel, Conn. home.

Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Laura Roeck Benkwitt. Mrs. Alheit was a graduate of New York University, and taught for several years in the New York City public school system. She was a resident of Yonkers and Purchase for many years before moving to Bethel five years ago.

She is survived by her husband, Edmond C. Alheit, of Bethel; a son, Edmond K. Alheit, of Capitola, Calif.; a daughter, Ethlyn Finnerty, of Clifton Park, N.Y.; a brother, Alfred H. Benkwitt, of Yonkers; and three grandchildren.
