Word was received Wednesday morning of the death of Mrs. Virginia Harper, at the home of her son, T. J. Harper near Clifton, Kansas. Interment was made in the Willoughby Cemetery Thursday. Grandma Harper was one of the pioneers of Republic County and Elk Creek township; at the time of her death, she was nearly ninety six years of age. She moved with her son and family from Agenda last spring.
