Lucille Bingaman, 100, of Vandalia, formerly of Brownstown, died at 8:15 pm, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 27th at Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown with B.J. Deal officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 26th at Gieseking-Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown. Memorials may be made to the Brownstown United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women.

Lucille was born on January 1, 1912 in Vandalia to John and Lottie (Locke) Gochenour. She married Floyd F Bingaman on October 1, 1930. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2002.

She had assisted her husband in the operation of Bingaman Store in Brownstown until her retirement. She was a member of the Brownstown United Methodist Church.

She is survived her son, Fred L. Bingaman and his wife Carleen of Brownstown, her daughter, Sherill Lou Parton of Huntsville, Alabama, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; parents, husband, sons, Joe Allen Bingaman and Harold Dean Bingaman, daughter, Beverly Ann Crown, sisters, Ollie Howell and Helen Sumption, 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
