MRS. G. G. McDERMED DEAD FOLLOWING OPERATION

Mrs. G. G. McDermed died at 8:30 this morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. W. O. Spriggs, East Sixth Street.  In failing health for the last five months, September 7th, she underwent an operation at the Long Hospital, Indianapolis, for a tumorous growth on the brain.  For two weeks following, her condition seemed to be improved, but complications developed that resulted in her death.

Mrs. McDermed was formerly Miss Bell, daughter of Mrs. J. B. Cosner who resided at 210 S. Maple Street, and in 1916 she was married to G. G. McDermed of Indian Springs, Indiana.  Besides her husband and daughter, Helen, eight years of age, she leaves a mother, Mrs. J. B. Cosner, three sisters, Mrs. Litna Adamson, Mrs. W. O. Spriggs, and Mrs. Howe Martin of this city, and a brother J. L. Cosner of Ridley, Tenn.

On returning from the hospital she came to the home of her sister, Mrs. W. O. Spriggs, and her mother, who resides with Mrs. Spriggs, where the attention and services could be given.

The funeral will be held at two o'clock at the Lincoln Street Church of Christ in charge of Elder A. W. Harvey.  Pallbearers are: Oscar McDermed...
