Mrs. Alice (Cope) Weeter, wife of Mr. Edward Weeter, one of the most highly esteemed ladies of Licking Township, closed her earthly career on Monday, November 21, 1921, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, where she had gone for an operation of the bowels. She was the daughter of Washington and Florence Cope, and was born on August 1, 1894. Her parents survive her and mourn the loss of their daughter. She was united in marriage with Edward Weeter, who survives her with the following children: Russell Edward, Nora Mae and Jessie Ellen Weeter. One child having preceded her in death. Her surviving brothers and sisters are: Frank, Return, Bennie and Henry Cope, and Mrs. Ralph Patton, Mrs. Jennie Best and Mrs. Charles Bashline. The body was taken to the home of her parents in Licking Township, where funeral services were conducted on November 24th, by Rev. F. C. Timmis and interment was made in M. E. Cemetery at Callensburg.

Death certificate gives age as 27 years, 3 months and 20 days. Bowel obstruction and previous operations for appendicitis and removal of ovaries. Husband was informant. Buried November 23, 1921.
