Mrs. Willie K. Slaughter Bishop, 66, Cull, wife of Charlie Bishop, former deputy sheriff of Owen county,, was dead on arrival, Monday, May 13 at Owen County Memorial hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at her home.
A native of Owen county, the daughter of Watson and Lillian Harris Slaughter, she was a member of the Salem Baptist church.
Others survivors are three sisters; Mrs Mary watt Denham, Richmond, Va., Ruth Slaughter, Warsaw, and Mrs Ailene Lynn, Elizabethtown.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. yesterday (Wednesday) at Smither-Coates with Rev. Steve Asjley and Rev. Bob Terry officiating. Burial was in the Owenton cemetery.
