Funeral services for William L. Law, Bell County resident, were held at 3 p.m. Monday from Eads Chapel with Rev. Claude Jones, pastor of the First Methodist church officiating.
Mr. Law, who was 68 years old, died following a short illness.
He was born in Tennessee June 11, 1876. He settled in Troy when he first came to Texas, but moved with his family to Belton in 1921. He married Miss Martha A. Petty of Troy Nov. 27, 1901. She survives him.
Other survivors are one sister, Mrs. J.H. Shaw of Troy; three sons, Coren L., Temple; J.C., Belton, and M-Sgt. Quinton, Army Air Corps, in the South Pacific; two daughters, Mrs Jack Fielding, Los Angeles, Calif.,and Mrs. T.J. Thompson, Temple; four grandchildren, Sgt. Kenneth Law, United States Army, somewhere in France; June, William H. Law, Temple, Isla Jean Law, Belton.
