George Thomas Radford, a Drumright resident, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at his son's home in Drumright at the age of 86 years.

Graveside services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 in the Ingalls Cemetery, Ingalls, OK.

The son of the late Thomas Radford and Mary (Bowers) Radford, George was born on October 9, 1925 in Hagarville, Arkansas. George grew up in Arkansas and when he turned 18 he entered into the United States Navy where he served during WW II. After receiving his honorable discharge George he eventually settled in Stillwater with his wife Ivola (Allen) Radford. George worked 43 years for the Stillwater News Press and when he retired in 1990 he was their Head Pressman.

Survivors include one son Dan Radford and his wife Elizabeth of Drumright; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife Ivola, six brothers, and four sisters.
