Calvin P. Dipprey, 80 of Wichita Falls died Wednesday, September 29, 2004, in Wichita Falls.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lunn's Colonial Chapel with Gary Dipprey officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Calvin was born February 7, 1924 in Amarillo, Texas to Charles A. and Tressie Hardin Dipprey. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0169. Calvin married Martha Ridinger on May 24, 1946 in Wichita Falls.

Mr. Dipprey was a self-employed plumber.

He worked many years with the Boy Scouts of America. He served as assistant scoutmaster for Troop 200 in 1974. Since 1976, he had been commissioner of the North Central Texas Boy Scouts. He received the District Award/Merit of the Silver Beaver in 1977, and the Arrowhead Honor. He was named a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a member of the Sunrise Optimist Club and the American Red Cross 3 Gallon Club.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Dipprey of Wichita Falls; two sons, Larry Dipprey and wife Karen of Lawton, Okla., and John Dipprey of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Lanelle Miliara and her husband Marcus of Jacksonville, Texas; a sister, Vivian Wall and her husband Bobby of Granbury, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Josh Crispin and wife Brandy of Dallas, Scot Crispin of Atlanta, Ga., Joel Crispin of Jacksonville, Texas, Lacy Champagne and husband Michael of Abilene, Jason Dipprey of Oklahoma City, Justin Dipprey of Lawton, Lauren Crispin of Denton, Callie Dipprey of Lawton, Megan Miliara of College Station, Caine Dipprey and Camden Dipprey, both of Wichita Falls, and three great-grandchildren., Carly Crispin, and Carter Crispin , both of Sugarland, Texas, and Madyson Claire Dipprey of Lawton.

Calvin was preceded in death by his daughter Pamela Dipprey in 1966 and by his brother Tom Dipprey
