She was a 1966 graduate of Partridge High School, a 1987 graduate of Hutchinson Community College and a member of South Hutchinson United Methodist Church. Cindy was a Mary Kay Consultant and had worked at Mennonite Manor, and had been working part-time for Alex's Body Shop.
On April 22, 1967, she married Rodney L. Givens in South Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors and spouses include: their sons, David and Jennifer, Coffeyville, and Michael and Nicholas, South Hutchinson; stepmother, Helen Mettlen, Hutchinson; two sisters, Beth and Tim Henderson, South Hutchinson, and Amy and Bob Corley, Meadow, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Elliott Chapel, with Chaplain Art Maddock officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
