Funeral services were conducted at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the home and at 1:30 in the Blanchardville Lutheran church, Rev. M.T. Olson officiated. Burial was made in Graceland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dwight Baker, Ervin Korupp, Jake Waelti, Riley and John Walrack, Walter Robb.
Mary Hegdahl was the daughter of Hans and Gjertina Hegdahl and was born in Dane county, Oct. 5, 1853. In 1897 she was married in Freeport to Jacob Schenk and since 1907 she had lived in Blanchardville. She was a member of the Blanchardville Lutheran church.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Hannah Shively, South Haven, Mich., Miss Pauline Hegdahl, Chicago, and Anna (Mrs. Richard Denson), Marshfield, and nieces and nephews. Her niece, Gertina (Mrs. Chris Guldhaug), and husband, made their home with Mrs. Schenk and cared for her. Mr. Schenk died in July, 1931
