Anna Sawyer Dies Today
---Anna Sawyer, 76, of 176 Bunn Road, died unexpectedly early today at her home.
---She was born in Calhoun County Dec. 19, 1897, to Nathan and Elizia[sic] (White) Bennett.
---A resident of Albion before moving to the Hillsdale area, Mrs. Sawyer was a member of the Hillsdale United Brethren Church, the Women's Home League, The Salvation Army and the League of Mercy of the Salvation Army.
---On Dec. 24, 1914 she was married to Harry Sawyer, who survives.
---Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Francis (Lois) Whiting of Hillsdale; two sons, Samuel of Reading and Donald of Hillsdale; and a brother, Thomas of Dexter.
---There are seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
---The funeral service is to be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Van Horn-Eagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Willard Sanders officiating.
---Burial is to be in Clarendon Cemetery near Homer.
---Friends may call at the funeral home anytime after 10 a.m. Saturday.
