Funeral Services for Mrs. Unice (Eunice) Ward

Funeral service will be held at the stake tabernacle on Saturday at 12 o'clock for Mrs. Unice (Eunice) Ward of Woodruff, who died at her home Tuesday evening, after an illness of about one month.


Mrs. Ward, the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Nicholas, was born in Bountiful, Utah, on February 8, 1853. When she was two years of age, she moved with her parents to Willard, and on May 22, 1870, the family moved to Woodruff, where she has resided since that time.


In May 1869 she married George Ward. She was the mother of fourteen children of whom eight survive.


She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in Primary and Relief Society work.


Surviving are her eight children: Joseph W. Ward, Mrs. R.W. Harris, J. N. Ward, R.A. Ward, Mrs. H.E. Thomas, and Arthur M. Ward, Owen D. Ward, and Mrs. Rosa W. John; four sisters, one brother, sixty-two grandchildren, and forty-five great-grandchildren.
