HOISINGTON - George R. Laughlin, 82, died
Wednesday at the Hoisington Hospital
following a short illness.

He was born Aug. 16, 1892 at Greenwood, Neb.

He was a retired Missouri Pacific Engineer
and has been a resident of Hoisington since
1936 moving from La Crosse.

He married Nellie M. Burky Feb. 10,1915 at
La Crosse. She died July l, 1916. He married
Bessie Birch April 19, 1927 at McGehee, Ark.

He was a member of the First Christian
Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Masonic
Lodge, Chapter Commandary Council, Great
Bend and Salina Consistory and Isis Temple,
Sunflower Shrine Club, B. L. of E. and
former city councilman, Hoisington.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie, of the
home; two sons, Elmer G., Hoisington,
William J., Great Bend; two daughters,
Mrs. Joe (Elma) Lepej, Great Bend, Mrs.
Donald (Elizabeth) Crowley, Park Forrest,
111.; one sister, Mrs. Charity Lippert,
Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren
and five greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at
Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home with Rev. Don
Larkin officiating. Interment in La Crosse
Cemetery. There will be Masonic graveside
rites. The family suggests memorials to
Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital.
