Clarence is the son of Jackson and Edna (Baughman) Cox. He was a 1935 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a Sgt. in the Air Transport Command from 1942 to 1946. Clarence married Pauline Stimac on August 23, 1952 and they resided at St. Mary's Lake, MI. They spent winters in Mesa, AZ. He retired from Sears-Roebuck & Co. in 1977 after 31 years. Clarence was a member of Elks Lodge #131 B.P.O.E.
