He was born December 10, 1925 in Stockton the son of the late Ralph & Leona (Bausman) Luke Sr.
He had served in the US Army during WWII where he was a tank operator in the Armor Division under General Patten. Jack married Barbara Dalton on September 18, 1949 in Freeport, Il.
He was a member of the Stockton American Legion Post 449 and a former member of the Moose Lodge. Jack had worked on Dairy farms both in Stockton and California. He had retired from the Riverside Road Department in Hemet, CA. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, Daughter Dixie (Tony) Schubert of Kent, 3-Sons; John Luke Jr. of Avendale, CO, Lorren Luke of Hemet, CA, Rodney (Anna) Luke of Riverside, CA, 6-Grandchildren; Lori, Wendy, Michelle, Norissa, Amy & Sara, 10-Great Grandchildren; Breanna, Camren, Ryen, Kimberly, Brandon, Francisco, Gail Lynn, Dallas, Sierria & Bridgette, 7-Great Great Grandchildren, Sister Joyce (Allen) Wickler of Stockton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3-grandchildren; Gene, David & Cassey, 4-brothers; Ralph Jr, Robert, Richard & Donald and an infant sister Dorothy.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton where a 1 hour visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
