Sammy Bly Toronjo, 70, passed away in Hamilton, Texas, July 22, 2012. Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the funeral home.
Sammy was born in Yoakum, Texas, to the late Ira and Sammy LouSeah Bailey. Sammy was a housewife most of her life. She also worked as an assistant to Dr. Jin, an Ophthalmologist, in Neederland, Texas.
Sammy is preceded in death by brothers, Ira Ray (Jack) Bailey and Herman Elmo (Pete) Bailey; half-brothers, Seth, Bill, Grady, JB and John Bailey; half-sister, Elizabeth Bailey Roberts; half-brothers, John W. "Woody" Lusk and James Henry "Jim" Lusk.
Sammy is survived by son, Oran Bly and wife, Ruth; a step-daughter; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Otelia Pafford, and Ora Rita Bates and husband, Roy; numerous nieces and nephews. Z9
