Mrs. Margaret Jane Blevins Martin

Mrs. Margaret Jane Blevins Martin, aged 78 years, of 1005 Beckford street, died suddenly Monday at 7:30 p. m. at her home. She was the widow of Hugh A. Martin, who died December 8, 1935. Mrs. Martin was born in Washington township, November 16, 1866, daughter of James and Jane Clark Blevins. She lived in Lawrence county and came to New Castle 10 years ago. She was a former member of the East Brook U. P. church and was now a member of the Third U. P. church. She was also a member of the W. C. T. U. and Y. L. B. Bible class. Surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Frank Forbes, R. D. 4, and Mrs. James Burton, Harlansburg: two sisters, Mrs. Robert McGary, and Mrs. Elizabeth McConnell, Volant R. D. 3: a brother, R. K. Blevins, New Wilmington: two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p. m. from the Fred C. Wolford funeral home, East North street, Rev. C. R. Thayer in charge. Interment will be in Plaingrove U. P. cemetery. The family will meet friends at the funeral home tonight, 7 to 9 o'clock, Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 o'clock.
