Ruth Ann Lowe of Coweta, age 72, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday afternoon, July 21, 2012 just 3 days before her 73rd birthday at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Ruth was born on July 24, 1939 in Broken Arrow, OK and was the daughter of Tom and Iva (Chance) Adney. She was a 1956 graduate of Broken Arrow High School. Ruth was a devoted homemaker for most of her life. Ruth enjoyed gardening, going to auctions, cooking, fishing and she loved visiting with people.
Ruth is lovingly survived by her five daughters, Carolyn Smith and husband, Allen, of Coweta, Laura Rankin and husband, Tony, of Wagoner, Peggy Payne and husband, Jim, of Austin, TX, Robin Sutton and husband, Eric, of Coweta and Kelly Rankin and husband, Jeff, of Coweta; four sisters, Velma Holmes and husband, Onis, of Holland, IN, Sue Brown and husband, Gary, of Wagoner, Darlene Gerber of Broken Arrow and Teresa Holland and husband, Clee, of Broken Arrow; two brothers, Robert Adney and wife, Stella, of Coweta and Jerry Adney and wife, Jackie, of Adair, OK; 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, July 24, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Ruth are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Wright-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Pastor Mark Scott officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Vernon Cemetery.
