George C., third son of Jabez 2d. Was a schoolmaster and farmer, lived some 30 years in Pomfret, Vt., where all his children were born. He afterwards moved to Barnard, Vt., where he d. Oct. 16, 1849. He m. in 1806 Lucy Payne, who was b. in 1773 and d. in 1850. Issue:
1. Almira b Jul. 20, 1808 d. Jul 29, 1833
2. Miranda b. Jul 25, 1811
3. George C. 2d b Mch 16, 1816
Of these children, Almira m. in 1856 William Sterling, and lived at Woodstock, Vt. No issue.
