Mr. John B. Gaudreau, for the past ten years a prominent business man of Eureka, died at his home here November 7th. Mr. Gaudreau was associated with the Safeway Store for eight years in the meat department and for the past two years has been proprietor of the Froz-N Locker Plant. Has was a highly respected citizen and his death came as a shock to relatives and friends.

John B. Gaudreau was born November 9, 1876, at St. Anne, Illinois, and was 66 years, 11 months and 28 days old at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Celia Gaudreau, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Willard Romer, Emporia, Kansas, one son, Ray Gaudreau, of Eureka; three brothers, William, Fred and Ned Gaudreau, and one granddaughter, Patsy Romer.

Funeral service was held from the Sacred Heart Church in Eureka Tuesday, November 10, with Rev. S.V. Frasier of Aurora, Kansas, brother of Mrs. Gaudreau, officiating at Requiem High Mass. Rev. Kelty delivering the service.

Pallbearers were Abe Trembly, Joe Kennedy, Frank Van Haverbeke, Dr. H.M. Lovett, Dr. W.S. Moonlight, and William Teter.

Relatives from out of town who attended the service were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gaudreau, Salina, KS; Mrs. Frank Gaudreau, Galva, KS; Rev. S.V. Fraiser, Aurora, KS; Sister Eveline, Salina, KS; Sister Clotilda, Abilene, KS; Mr. and Mrs. Jess Frasier, Concordia, KS; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Frasier, Concordia, KS; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Romer, Emporia, KS; Mrs. Frank Whitcomb, Wichita, KS.
