Andrew "Gilson" was born in Ashford township, Fond du Lac county. He married Frances Bentley October 4, 1859 in Lomira, Dodge county. They resided in sec. 6 of Ashford township, in a house built on the Braford family's farm. Later they moved to Empire township and by 1930, to the city of Fond du Lac. Francis and Gilson are the parents of Amy, George and Mildred Braford.
