DEATHS

Died, at his residence in Higginsville, Mo., March 8, 1898, of liver and kidney trouble, Mr. George W. Vivion, in the 77th year of his age.

Mr. Vivion was one of our old and highly esteemed citizens. He was born at Winchester Kentucky, March 24th, 1821, and lacked only a few days of completing his 77th year. He was married in October, 1839, when not twenty years of age, to Miss Mary Walker, and this union was blessed with eight children, all of whom survive, to mourn the loss of a devoted husband and affectionate father. He was a brother of Mrs. Caltha Campbell, of this city. Mrs. Fishback, mother of Mrs. Dr. Russell, was also a sister. His three sons, Flavel, Samuel and Emmett, are well known all over the county. His daughters are, Mrs. Geo. Chamblin, Mrs. Robert Chamblin, Mrs. Wm. Robinet, Mrs. Bryant, and one unmarried. Like a sheaf of corn, full ripe, he has been gathered in to that Rest which awaits the righteous.
