Husband of Elizabeth Wisner, oldest daughter of Asa Wisner of Ithaca, Tompkins Co., NY. They were married Feb. 4, 1828 after Rev. Asa graduated from Yale in 1826. Rev. Asa was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo, NY from 1836-1847. He was a strong supporter of education for women. His wife Elizabeth died in Nov. 1846.
