Edith Thor, 94, of Rockford died Tues., Feb. 8, 2000, in Cor Mariae Center. Born May 20, 1905, in Arlington, S.D., the daughter of Gustaf and Augusta Larson Gustafson. Married Otto W. Thor in Belvidere on April 7, 1932; he died in Rockford on Dec. 16, 1998. She attended Arlington (S.D.) High School and Madison (S.D.) Teachers College. She taught all grades for four years in a little country school in South Dakota, and spent the rest of her life as a homemaker for her family. Attended First Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include her son, Braden (Lila) Thor; grandsons, Brian (Kristyn) and Mark Thor; and great-grandsons, Benjamin and Joshua Thor. Also predeceased by parents; daughter, Darlene; seven brothers; six sisters; and great-granddaughter, Jessica Ashley Thor.
