Paul Wilson Allison, 94, of Mooresville passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Genesis Eldercare in Mooresville.
He was born on March 30, 1918 in Mooresville, NC to the late James Rankin and Nanie Long Allison. Mr. Allison was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville also being a member of the Men’s Bible Class and a Deacon. He loved to garden and play golf. He served as a Merchant Marine during World War II and retired from Burlington Industries.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille McCulloum.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Willie Brown Allison; daughters, Brenda (Wayne) Smith and Donna Reiser; three grandchildren, Allison Johnson, Emily Cassidy and Ashley Gleeson; 5 great-grandchildren, Grace Ella, Brady Paul, Garrett, Liam and Avery Kathryn.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 19 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Clay Brown officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church parlor.
