Phillip Lawrence Sanders
Phillip Lawrence Sanders was born on February 18, 1948 to Lawrence R. and Dillie P. Sanders at Royal Oak General Hospital, (today the Washington Square building on 4th and Washington Street). He died on June 14, 2011 in Portland, Oregon of natural causes. He graduated from Royal Oak Kimball High School in June of 1966. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. Degree in Communications and Electrical Engineering. Phillip was in the U.S. Army from 1974-77 with an honorable discharge. Later years he turned to computer work. Phillip is survived by his mother, Dillie Sanders, his sister Lillian Darany and her husband Salem, his brother Tom and his wife Amy, with four nephews and four nieces. A memorial service is being planned for at the Royal Oak Missionary Church officiated by Pastor Bill Barnwell. Date and time yet to be determined. Phillip will be buried at White Chapel Cemetery.
