Mr. McGill left Wheatland to enter army service July 19, 1918, and spent the following winter in Germany, arriving here on his return July 5, 1919. The full effects of the disease fastened on him were not apparent until about three years ago, when he became an invalid. Last winter he went to Arizona where he experienced no relief, returning in the spring to his homestead near Greyrocks.
He was born in Parsons, Kans. Feb. 28, 1893, being aged 31 years, 5 months and seven days at the time of his death. He left to mourn his departure his wie, Mrs. Ora Blevins McGill, a son, Glen Alvin McGill, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. McGill of Pine Bluffs and seven brothers and sisters: Arthur, Ryland and Vernie McGill of Pine Bluffs, Raymond McGill of Fort Logan, Colo., Mrs. Gertrude Carson of Cheyenne, Misses Laurel and Teresa McGill of Pine Bluffs.
The funeral was conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. R.L. Stratton, and the burial took place at the Wheatland cemetery.
