John Allen Osborne, age 77, of Coffee County, Tennessee, passed away on 29 May 1956. He was born in Moore County, Tennessee, on 23 Jun 1878, the son of the late Dora Matilda (Eggleston) Osborne and Daniel William Osborne, the grandson of Sarah E Weaver and Abijah Allen Osborne, also known as Bidge or B A.
His first wife was Martha Ann "Mattie" (Mansfield) Osborne. She is buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Viola, Coffee County, He is followed in death by his second wife, Lillie Idella (Tankersley) Osborne, three sisters, Sallie C. (Osborne) Pyle, Alma F Osborne and Kattie M. (Osborne)Bates and three brothers, Edward Haggard Osborne, Thomas Wilson Osborne and William C Osborne. He is survived by his daughter Ginger Jane (Osborne) Eden.

Below is a little story about his father and mother, Daniel and Dora Osborne.

In approximately 1895, Daniel William Osborne, owner of a thick head of red hair and several saloons in the Tullahoma Tennessee area, decided to pull up stakes and move with his wife, Dora Matilda, to Denton Texas. After living there awhile, Dora decided to return back to Tennessee while Daniel remained in Texas, and from that day forward, his whereabouts is still unknown.

In Approximately 1902, Dora had him declared dead in Coffee County Tennessee Court and later remarried a man named Will Damrel. Will Damrel is burried in Hurricane Cemetery, Moore County Tennessee and Dora Matilda Osborne Damrel, is buried in Turkey Creek Cemetery, Moore County Tennessee.
