_________________________________________

John L. Hoadley Jr. was the gr-grandson of
Katherine J. Clawson VanSyckle (1862-1936)
who was the sister of my gr-gr-grandmother
Margaret M. Clawson Margeson (1855-1922)
which made us 6th cousins on my father's
side and on John's mother's side.

John L. Hoadley Jr. was the gr-grandson of
Alice R. Miller Schafer (1870-1935)
who was the sister of my gr-grandfather
George E. Miller (1883-1947)
which made us 5th cousins on my mother's
side and on John's mother's side.

I am twice related to John because I am related
to both his maternal grandparents:
Theodore M. "Dory" Schafer Sr.
(1900-1982)
through my maternal grandfather
~AND~
Carrie I. "Isabel" VanSyckle Schafer Davis
(1905-1977)
through my paternal grandfather.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Though I did not know John personally, I respectfully honor his memory with this memorial since he was a distant relative of mine (twice).
