Mr. Walter Saxon Troutman, 81 years old, of 101 Greer Street, Brandenburg, Kentucky died March 12, 1980 at Highland Baptist Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born in Meade County, Kentucky on July 23, 1898 a son of the late Squire W. Troutman and Mary Williams.

Mr. Troutman was a retired crane operator for Flintkote Cement Company.

He is survived be his wife, Mrs. Vera Ann Troutman; two step-daughters, Mrs. Daymon (Virginia) Givans and Mrs. Wayne (Dee) Worley, both of Brandenburg, Kentucky; one step-son, John W. Trent, Louisville, Kentucky; two grandsons, Gary Troutman, Valley Station, Kentucky and Larry P. Troutman, Atlanta, Georgia; one granddaughter, Mrs. Deanna Arnold, Louisville, Kentucky; five great-grandchildren and three great-step grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Chapel of Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home, Brandenburg, Kentucky with the Rev. M.C. Hash and Rev. Philip Fisher officiating. Interment was in Cap Anderson Cemetery, Brandenburg, Kentucky.Pallbearers were: Daymon Givans, Wayne Worley, George Troutman, Jessie J. Troutman, Bobbie Troutman and James (Buster) Carver. Honorary pallbearers were: Jake Hamilton, Andrew Hockman, George Higgins and Roy Lee Humphrey.
