Mrs. Fowler died July 1, 2006, at a Lubbock, Texas hospital. She was born April 30, 1919, at Ada, to Teddy Roosevelt and Lillie Mae Stephens Lillard.
She married Milton Dial Garner. He died in 1949. She later married Wallace Fowler. He died in 1982. She moved to Hobbs in 1952. Mrs. Fowler was a member of First United Free Will Baptist Church of Hobbs for 54 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Teddy Roosevelt and Lillie Mae Stephens Lillard; her two husbands; a son, Lynn Fowler; a grandson, Dustin Garner; a daughter-in-law,
Sondra Garner; and a son-in-law, Mike Bush.
Survivors include three sons, Benny Garner and wife Kay, Terry Fowler, all of Hobbs, and Gene Garner, Ada; a daughter, Jo Ann Bush, Hobbs; a step-son, Jerry
Fowler and wife Betty, California; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a dear friend, Cleta Fair.
