Susan Ofelt Catlin, 53, of Turtle Lake died Friday, July 20, 2012 at her home. She was born March 4, 1959 in Amery, WI to Charles and Carol (Strenke) Ofelt. Susan was raised in Turtle Lake and graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1977. She was a supervisor at Miracle Ear where she was employed for 13 years and was a supervisor at Crystal Lake Cheese Factory for several years. Susan enjoyed mowing lawns, boating, her cats and spending time with her family, cooking, helping others and giving her advice to others!

She is survived by her fiancee, Tom Shipshock of Turtle Lake; 2 brothers, Charles (Brenda) Ofelt of Turtle Lake and LeRoy (Vickie Hoy) Anderson of Turtle Lake; 5 sisters, Sandra Jean (Mike Cecka) Ofelt of Arizona City, AZ, Karen Pauline Ofelt of Turtle Lake, Carol Lee (Tom) Hochstetler of Clayton, Pamela Lu Anderson of Turtle Lake and Jamie Lynn Elfers of Turtle Lake; her foster daughter, Anna Struemke of Turtle Lake and by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and her very special friends Frank and Audrey Wilson. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Devin, 1 niece, Brianna Ofelt and 1 nephew, Charles Ofelt III.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Parkview United Methodist Church, Turtle Lake with Rev. Keith Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Mt Hope Cemetery, Turtle Lake, WI. Pallbearers are Jonathon Galatowitsch, Jim Klingelhoets, Kel Klingelhoets, David Winger, Wayne Hagen and Nick Hagen. Honorary pallbearers are Chris and Connor Ofelt, Kristine and Jordan Penard, Chandler & Damon Galatowitsch. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Monday at the Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
