J.T. Hutchins, Sr., 90, of Ekron, died Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the North Hardin Health & Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Ruth Hutchins; and four brothers, Charles, James, Jerry and Billy Bruce Hutchins. Survivors include two children, Sherry (Dwight) Price, Joseph T. (Lois) Hutchins, Jr., both of Ekron; two brothers, Virgil Hutchins and J.B. Hutchins, both of Bardstown; five grandchildren, Chad Hutchins, Ben Hutchins, Ruth Ann Price, Samuel Price and Hannah Padgett; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Guy Cornell, officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Salem Baptist Church Building Fund.
