A resident of Addis for 70 years, she died at 8:27 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine. She was 91 and a native of Marksville. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial on Friday. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Eric Gyan. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by two grandsons, Brad Caldwell, Addis, and Keith Caldwell and his wife, Laura, Brusly; a daughter-in-law, Betty Caldwell, Addis; a daughter, Margie Ann Diez, Dutchtown; a niece, Annie Laurie Curry, Baton Rouge; grandchildren and spouses, Jeff and Alice Diez, Chip and Pam Diez, Kerry and Suzette Diez, Reneé and Marty Martin, Rachele and Steve Wilkison and Chris Diez, all of Dutchtown; great-nephews and spouses, Dan and Roz Curry, Orange, Texas, Tim and Gail Curry and Pat and Sheryl Curry, all of Denham Springs, Charles and Melaine Curry, Mark and Jane Alexander, Baton Rouge; a great-niece, Rhonda Heald, Beaumont, Texas; a niece-in-law. Helen Alexander, Gramercy; great-grandchildren, Amanda Blanchard, Denham Springs, Matthew Crawford and Taylor Caldwell, Brusly, Courtney and Haley Poche, Brennen, Madison, Cass, Holly, Adam, Cole, Mason, Shelby Diez, Kiplyn Martin, Collin and Amanda Wilkison, all of Dutchtown; great-nephews and great-nieces, Dan Jr., Todd and Ryan Curry, Orange, Texas, Bryan, Scott, Andrew and Taylor Curry, Denham Springs, Kristina and Marc Curry, Baton Rouge, and Hannah and Ben Curry, Slaughter; and devoted friends, Henry and Beth Toups and family, and Buster and Donna Mae Fitzgerald, all of Addis. Preceded in death by her husband, A.D. "Red" Caldwell; two sons, Douglas and Leon Caldwell; parents, Hildebert and Anicet Penn Hebert; eight sisters and two brothers; and a nephew, John D. Alexander. She was a member of the Altar Society of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly, a life member of Addis Auxiliary Volunteer Fire Department, a 50-year member of Home Extension of West Baton Rouge, a life member of Civic League of Addis and a member of Historic Society of Addis. Pallbearers will be Terry Naquin, Dan Curry Sr., Henry Toups, Tim Curry, Chip Diez and Kerry Diez. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Diez, Chris Diez, Todd Curry, Ryan Curry and Dan Curry Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West Baton Rouge Heart Society.
