Daughter of Edward N. Douglas and Margaret, wife of Francis Allaire, whom she married on May 3, 1876 in Brooklyn, NY and mother of of Alexander, Francis, Nellie, Gracie, and Louise Allaire. Sister of Isaac S. Douglas.

Her father was shown to be working in a livery stable. Living next door was Isaac Douglas, aged 30, tobacconist, his wife Lizzie, aged 29, and their children, Edward Douglas, 7, Frank H. Douglas, 4, and Mary Ramirez, aged 55.

Mrs. Allaire, a descendent of the Woodhull family of Patchogue, was born here, a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Douglas, but had spent most of her life in Brooklyn. She leaves two sons, Alexander Allaire of Fort Worth, Tex., and Frank Allaire of Hempstead.
